Above $2000, Gas Grills start to look shiny and in a good way. At this price point, we see what begins to look like professional grilling equipment. I would argue that nothing here is that good, but there are definitely some great grills to be found in the best gas grills between $2000 and $4000 (based on a combination of suggested retail price and actual retail price). Due to a dramatic increase in stainless steel prices, many great grills have moved out of this price range. But your big choice is the difference between an all-stainless steel gas grill, like the Artisan American Eagle or American Outdoor Grill, or a gas grill packed with features but still made primarily of cast aluminum and enameled steel.
When shopping for one of the best gas grills between $2000 and $4000, there are a few things to focus on. I know that this sounds like a lot of money, but there are professional-level gas grills that cost over $20,000. True, those are luxury products for the rich and famous, but $4000 for a high-end gas grill isn’t really a lot of money.
What to Look For
- A Brand You Can Trust – In recent years, there has been a surge of generic or no-name brand grills. These are made for stores, both physical and online, by factories that will put together an impressive package for a great price. There is seldom anything or anyone behind these products. Warranties disappear, parts may not be available, and support doesn’t exist. I have only listed products from brands that are here to make sure your grill works and is supported.
- All Stainless Steel vs Features – Stainless steel is expensive. To get a good, all-stainless steel gas grill in this price range, you will need to sacrifice versatility and features (knobs on the control panel). The full-feature grills on this list have cast aluminum and enameled steel parts to keep costs down. This is the choice you have to make.
- Good Construction – Many of these grills are not widely available. You won’t find them in big box stores, so you need to go to specialty retailers like patio and higher-end furniture stores. But if you can get your hands on one, examine it carefully. Are the doors solidly mounted? Does the cart seem solid? Are the burners heavy?
The Best Gas Grills between $2000 and $4000
1. Napoleon Prestige Pro 665

Read the Full Review of the Napoleon Prestige Pro 665 Gas Grill
Like the Weber Summit below, this top-of-the-line product from Napoleon is loaded with knobs. There are eight burners (one of the knobs is a wood chip drawer for adding smoke flavor). The five primary burners produce up to 60,000 BTUs under 665 square inches of heavy stainless steel cooking grates. There is also an infrared rear-mounted rotisserie burner, as well as standard and infrared side burners. The construction (done in Canada) is primarily stainless steel, but like the Weber Summit below, it has cast aluminum and powder-coated steel parts. This is a complete grill in a single package and comes with almost everything you will need except the food. It even has an infrared sear burner for that perfect steak.
- 665 square inches of primary cooking area
- 68,000 BTUs from five main burners
- Stainless steel, cast aluminum, and enameled steel construction
- Stainless steel wave pattern cooking grids
- One 18,000 BTU rear-mounted infrared rotisserie burner with a full rotisserie system
- One 13,000 BTU side table-mounted infrared burner for searing
- One 8,000 BTU smoker burner
- Bumper-to-bumper lifetime warranty
- Internal lights and a fully lit LED control panel
- Made in Canada
2. Broil King Regal Q 590 IR

Broil King is one of the oldest companies in the outdoor cooking industry. This Canadian-made gas grill offers it all. In many ways, it is comparable to the Weber and Napoleon grills above. But it is much more affordable. Of course, that comes at a cost in terms of construction quality. This model retails for just above $ 2,600 USD. What you get are four main burners, an infrared side burner (like the one on the Napoleon), and a rear-mounted rotisserie burner (not infrared). This is a fully loaded gas grill, and with it, you’ll be able to cook almost anything. Also, don’t think I don’t like this grill. I love it. But in this price range, it isn’t my first pick.
- 625 square inches of primary grilling space
- 55,000 BTU output from five main burners
- Includes the iQue system for remote monitoring and temperature control
- Stainless steel, cast aluminum, and enameled steel construction
- Stainless steel cooking grates
- One 10,000 BTU infrared side burner
- One 15,000 BTU standard (not infrared) rotisserie burner
- Made in North America
- Limited Lifetime Warranty
3. American Outdoor Grill T-Series 30

American Outdoor Grill is the budget-friendly brand from Fire Magic, the largest manufacturer of outdoor kitchen equipment. This stainless steel grill has three main burners. A side burner and a rear-mounted infrared rotisserie burner are available, but they drive up the price by nearly $400. It’s all the features in a stainless steel package for under $3,600USD. What makes this a great grill for the price is all that Fire Magic engineering. True, this is a lighter, simpler version, but at a fraction of the price. American Outdoor Grill is also a great choice for an outdoor kitchen on a budget.
This is a simple grill, but it shows the gulf between all stainless steel and the full-featured grill.
- 540 square inch cooking surface
- 45,000 BTUs from three main burners
- All stainless steel construction
- Side burner and rotisserie system available
- Made in the United States
- Lifetime warranty on the burners, everything else, 10 years
4. Artisan American Eagle 36

This is a well-crafted but basic gas grill made entirely in the USA of 304 stainless steel. You get three burners and little else for a price tag of just under $3,700USD. Artisan is the more affordable product from Alfresco, one of the largest makers of high-end outdoor kitchens. Three U-type burners fit under a panel of ceramic briquets. This creates high, even heat. The trade-off is all the extras. The Napoleon or Weber grills above offer it all. The Artisan American Eagle is a simple grill. It is, however, of professional quality and 100% stainless steel. Like most on this list, this model is also available as a built-in gas grill.
- 603 square inches of primary grilling area
- 60,000 BTU maximum output from three burners
- All stainless steel construction
- Made in the United States
- 15 to 10-year warranty
5. Blaze 32-Inch 4-Burner

Read the Full Review of the Blaze 32-Inch Gas Grill
Blaze is the store brand for BBQ Guys, one of the largest online sellers of gas grills. This all-stainless steel four-burner gas grill offers power and functionality in a well-built, shiny package. Like all the stainless steel grills on this list, it is not packed with extras, but gives you a professional look, a stylish yet simple design, and good cooking characteristics. You will find this model selling for about $3,000 USD.
- 552 square inches of primary grilling space
- 56,000 BTU maximum output from the four main burners
- 10,000 BTU rear-mounted infrared rotisserie burner
- Complete stainless steel construction
- Made in China for Shopperschoice.com
- Limited lifetime warranty on most parts
6. Weber Summit FS38 E

Weber is the most recognized name in outdoor cooking. Their Summit Line of Gas Grills is the best they make. This four-burner grill sells for nearly $4,000 USD, but comes loaded with features. This gas grill includes the “Weber Crafted” cooking grates that are compatible with a whole host of accessories.
- 681 square inches of primary grilling space
- 65,000 BTU maximum output from the four main burners
- 12,000 BTU standard side burner
- 16,000 BTU top-mounted infrared rotisserie burner
- Porcelain enameled steel construction with some stainless steel components
- Made in the United States with globally sourced parts
- 15-year limited warranty on parts and construction
7. Saber Premium 500 3-Burner Infrared

Read the Full Review of the Saber 500 Infrared Gas Grill
Constructed entirely (down to the bolts) of 304 stainless steel and boasting an amazing 18,000 BTU dual control side burner, the Saber Grill is truly an innovative product. The all-infrared power is achieved by focusing the power of three 8,000 BTU burners onto a metal diffuser and inverted U-shaped cooking grates. The fire is completely isolated from the food, and the heat that cooks is what radiates from the metal. This gas grill is virtually incapable of flare-ups and is practically foolproof. Oh, it also comes standard with a very good rotisserie kit and a thick and durable cover. The downside of this technology is that it produces more smoke than other gas grills, and not necessarily the kind of smoke that will flavor your food. It isn’t distasteful, but not a benefit. However, I love the side burner on this grill. It’s one of the best in the business.
- 500 square inches of primary grilling area
- 24,000 BTU maximum heat output (infrared)
- All stainless steel construction
- 18,000 BTU double-ring side burner
- Full rotisserie kit included but no rotisserie burner
- Made in China
- 10-year limited warranty
Buying Advice
All the gas grills on this list are available freestanding (cart-mounted) or built-in for outdoor kitchens. They are also available in propane (LP) or natural gas (NG). It is essential to note that for many models, changing the fuel type is not possible, so ensure you purchase the grill configuration you need.
- Do Your Research! – I know. You have read (or skimmed) almost all of this article. That’s research. Based on my years of experience, I can tell you which grills I think are best. I can not tell you which grill is right for you. I try to provide a variety of top-quality gas grills, but I fully understand that one size doesn’t fit all.
- Care for Your Investment – Start with a good cover, but keeping your grill clean and in good working order can dramatically increase the time you get to use this grill. It is an investment and one that you should be able to use for years to come without problems.
