Cheese Stuffed Grilled Turkey Burgers
The Grillin’ Fools are indeed huge fans of the iconic hamburger. Further we like taking the classic and making it into something a little different like this MOINK Burger (that’s moo+oink). Or these Big Mac tacos (what if a taco and a Big Mac had a baby?). Or this insane smash burger. And here’s a Greek turkey burger.
Cheese Stuffed Grilled Turkey Burgers Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds ground turkey
- 2 tablespoons Taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/4 cup chopped jalapeños
- 2 tablespoons queso cotija crumbles
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 3 ounces shredded or sliced Pepper Jack cheese
- 3 sesame seed burger buns
Corn Relish Ingredients:
- 3 ears yellow corn
- 1/4 cup queso cotija crumbles
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
Optional toppings:
- ½ cup chopped tomato
- 1 sliced avocado
Turkey Burgers Directions
Heat your grill, in this case the American Made Primo ceramic grill to 400 degrees and maintain the temperature.
Combine the ground turkey, taco seasoning, black beans, jalapenos, red onion, and queso crumbles in a large mixing bowl and form the mixture into 6 thin patties:

Then place one ounce of the pepper Jack cheese into the center of 3 of the patties:

Make the Cheese Stuffed Turkey Burgers
Then place the remaining three patties on top, sealing the edges to make 3 burgers. Place the burgers in the refrigerator until ready to grill.
Make the Grilled Turkey Burgers
Grill the burgers for about four minutes on each side, flipping carefully halfway through:

Be sure to bring the turkey to a temperature of 165F internally.
Make sure to toast the buns while grilling the burgers.
Finally, remove the burgers from the grill and place them on a toasted bun with the street corn relish, chopped tomatoes and sliced avocado:

Corn Relish Directions:
Peel the husks back on the corn and remove the silks.
Place the corn on the grill and char for about three minutes on each side. Carefully remove the corn from the heat and allow it to cool for about five minutes before removing the kernels and placing them into a large mixing bowl.
Add the remaining ingredients for the relish and stir to combine:

This burger is absolutely heaven. It’s got a little heat from the jalapeno, and sweet crisp flavor from the corn relish, the creaminess from the cheese and the avocado. Don’t forget that toasted bun. It really takes any burger to another level.
