Garlic Steak Bites

These garlic steak bites are savory, garlicky, tender and straight up delicious! Quick and easy to make, they can be served for dinner with a side or as an appetizer. One thing is for sure, these are out of this world good.

Garlic Steak Bites

Step 1: Prep the steak bites

For this recipe I used beef tenderloin trimmings. Sometimes, grocery stores will package trimmings and sell at a cheaper price than a whole tenderloin. It’s a great way to save a few dollars and still have very tender and flavorful meat. Other options include beef tenderloin or any steak cut.

Cube up the beef into bite size pieces. Add a binder before applying seasoning. I went with W sauce and followed it up with Dad’s Steak seasoning. Mix the steak cubes making sure to cover all pieces with the sauce and seasoning.

Step 2: Grill the garlic steak bites.

This garlic steak bites recipe is very quick and easy to make. I used my griddle but a regular grill set for direct heat will work just fine.

Recipe Tip

  • If you are using a different grill other than a flat top, make sure to use a cast iron skillet.

Preheat the grill to high heat, add some olive oil so the meat does not stick to the flat top and drop the seasoned steak bites on the griddle.

Flip them every minute to ensure an even cook throughout. total cook time should be around 5-7 minutes.

Next, add some freshly minced garlic and half a stick of butter to the steak. Mix it all in until the butter is completely melted.

Remove off the griddle, dress with some freshly chopped parsley and enjoy!

Frequently Asked Questions:

What cut of steak should I use?

Type of steak depends on what you are trying to grill up. For hot and fast look for cuts with good marbling like a ribeye or NY strip. If you are cooking a roast or stew, look for cuts that are cheaper and meatier like a chuck roast.

At what temperature should I remove the steak?

The internal temperature all depends on how you want or prefer your steak cooked. For a medium rare, remove it at between 120-125 degrees. If you are going for a medium cooked steak, anywhere between 135-140 degrees. Anything over will be well done. Remember to always rest the meat for 10 minutes before slicing.

Can I make this in the oven or stove top?

All my recipes can be replicated in the oven, stove top or gas grill. You do not need a big green egg or weber grill to replicate any of my recipes.
