The Nivada Grenchen x Worn & Wound Datomaster VK63 V2 Watch is available for the decidedly wallet-friendly price tag of just $499 and, when you consider the quality components housed within and the calibre of the workmanship, this is all the more astounding. This devilishly dapper, limited edition offering from Worn & Wound was created as an accessible, contemporary counterpart to the Valjoux 72 Chronomaster, and to celebrate the Sii (Seiko Instruments Inc.) VK Meca-Quartz movements. 

The Datomaster boasts a 36mm x 43.5mm x 12mm case and a triple register design with a date at six for a truly classic chronograph style that we’re big fans of here at The Coolector. It also features a striking dial that matches the Chronomaster Valjoux 72 V2 closely and the dial surface is a pale sand colour with a “racing” seconds/minutes index printed on a ring of teal – something that adds a real visual impact to proceedings. Pale blue applied markers add contrast for the hours, as well as feature lume plots that draw the eye. 

Rather than deploying solid sub-dials, the 24-hour and 60-minute indexes on the Nivada Grenchen x Worn & Wound Datomaster VK63 V2 Watch are printed on teal rings, with sand centres. The active seconds counter at the six position has no ring, mirroring the dial surface, opening up the dial, and allowing the bright sand surface to really stand out. Limited to a mere 150 Pieces, the Nivada Grenchen x Worn & Wound Datomaster VK63 comes mounted to a medium brown leather rally strap for that final touch of class.
