We love watches with a bit of quirkiness to them here at Coolector HQ and the guys at the Worn & Wound WindUp Store have got an excellent offering available in the shape of these Timex x seconde/seconde Watches. Available in two different versions – Stainless Steel and Gold Tone – this classy-looking offering is right up our street.
Great value for money at just $249, the Timex x seconde/seconde Watches are purpose-built to speak to a wide audience while including nods to watch enthusiasts. The Timex x seconde/seconde collection has successfully reimagined the classic stainless steel Timex Q with its integrated bracelet through creative variations. Collaborating with Romaric André, also known as seconde/seconde/, Timex has launched a series of unique “Episodes.”
Each instalment cleverly references a popular trope or well-known model, distinguished by its distinctive second-hand and other intricate details, in a style best appreciated by those in the know (#IYKYK). The Timex x seconde/seconde Limited Edition Loser watches draw from the Timex Q model, featuring 38mm x 44.25mm wide stainless steel cases and domed acrylic crystals. The models TW2W70600 (silver with a cream dial) and TW2W70700 (gold-plated) are distinguished by their customized second hands, each crafted in the shape of an “L”.
Additionally, the dials are uniquely rebranded with the letters “L” and “MY-EX”, leaving the interpretation of these creative choices open to the viewer. The remainder of the watch aligns with the rest of the Timex x seconde/seconde series, featuring a bezel that is identical to those seen in the red/blue, all-green, and brown variants. It comes with a stainless steel bracelet that is fully adjustable. The watch boasts a water resistance of 50 meters, which Timex notes is adequate for light swimming.
The Timex x seconde/seconde watches are powered by quartz analogue movements (Seiko PC33 based) rated to less than +/- 30 seconds a month. The battery hatch is accessible from the caseback. For anyone after a classy-looking timepiece that doesn’t break the bank but still turns head, this one gets our vote here at The Coolector.
