As was the case a year ago, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is on the market, and once again, there seems to be a handful of teams that could be interested in him.

The Miami Dolphins are one of those teams, and they reportedly met him this week.

According to a team source, that meeting went well, and the Dolphins are hoping they will end up signing him, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

Beckham is no longer a game-breaking wideout with world-class speed, but even after two ACL tears, he can still help out a team on a supplemental basis.

Last season, as a member of the Baltimore Ravens, he caught 35 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns.

The Dolphins are already scary offensively thanks to arguably the NFL’s best wide receiver duo in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, and they also led the league in rushing touchdowns last season thanks to the tandem of Raheem Mostert and rookie De’Von Achane.

But it could be argued that they could use a legitimate No. 3 threat at wideout in order to take the next step.

Miami went 11-6 last season, but that record seemed to be a mirage, as they defeated just one team that finished with a winning record all year and lost by 19 points in the wild-card round of the playoffs to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Given they have mostly a young team, one would think they’re headed on an upward trajectory, especially if they improve on defense, where they ranked 22nd in points allowed and 25th in passing touchdowns allowed last season.
