The Buffalo Bills are in dire need of a legitimate playmaking wide receiver after trading four-time Pro Bowler Stefon Diggs and losing WR2 Gabriel Davis in free agency this offseason.
In the second round of last month’s NFL Draft, they took Keon Coleman, and they’re hoping he will develop into a reliable target for quarterback Josh Allen.
In his introductory press conference, he talked about how he buys winter coats during the summer in order to save money, and Nike thus sent him a set of winter coats to help prepare him for those rough Buffalo winters, per Front Office Sports.
Coleman did play his first two years of college football at Michigan State University, so perhaps adjusting to the climate of Buffalo won’t be as difficult as it is for some others.
He had 798 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore with the Spartans, and the following year, he transferred to warm and humid Florida State University, where he posted 658 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2023.
At 6-foot-5, he could become a nice target in the red zone, and he is thought to be a true threat to add yards after the catch.
It is looking unlikely right now that the Bills will make the playoffs this coming season, and it should be a shock to the system for the Bills Mafia, who have seen the team be considered Super Bowl contenders for most of the last four seasons.
During that time, the team has reached the AFC Championship Game just once, and now is back to the drawing board.
