After taking down the San Francisco 49ers in overtime in the Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs could make the argument that they are a dynasty with head coach Andy Reid leading the way on the sideline and superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes getting it done under center.

Winning consistently in any professional sport can come with its fair share of problems, with one of those problems being that everyone that isn’t a fan of the team can start to label that team as villains, which appears to be happening to the Chiefs after the latest win.

After winning the Super Bowl last year, the Chiefs were already racking up their fair share of haters, but now it’ll be taken to another level that only the New England Patriots can recently understand.

Although that might bother some players, as it is human to want to be liked and loved, defensive end Charles Omenihu told Jim Rome the Chiefs are starting to embrace the villain role.

“I want to be that team that people are tired of seeing win,” he said.

Ironically enough, the Chiefs weren’t considered a serious threat when the NFL playoffs began, as the team struggled throughout the regular season at times and seemed flawed on offense for the first time in the Mahomes era.

However, when the postseason got underway, every opponent became inferior, with Mahomes and company being as resilient as ever, even on the road, where the team is not used to playing during the playoffs.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Chiefs can keep it going next season and remain a legitimate force to be reckoned with.
