After a forgettable 2023 NFL season, in which the New York Jets saw their new superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers go down with a season-ending injury in Week 1, the team will try to right the ship in 2024.

So far, the Jets have made a valiant effort to get back on track for the start of the 2024 NFL season with some key additions and some decisions that needed to be made.

Apparently, the team and its players believe that they can bounce back next season, with some of those players willing to take a pay cut to improve the team moving forward.

Five-time Pro Bowl linebacker C.J. Mosley is one of those players who took a pay cut, and he recently explained why he made the decision to do so, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.

“It’s not always about the money,” Mosley said. “The pay cut and all that stuff, sacrifice comes in many different ways when you talk about sacrificing for your team and your teammates. It’s just one small gesture, but it goes a long way. When I say I don’t care about the money when I get on the football field, I just want to win and win with my teammates.”

Before Rodgers went down last season, many believed that the Jets could be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender in the AFC, as they had a talented mix on both sides of the football.

With a healthy Rodgers back in the fold and the moves the team has made this offseason, New York might be able to earn that distinction back for the 2024 campaign.
