After making a blockbuster trade with the Carolina Panthers during the NFL offseason, it became clear that the team was confident in Justin Fields’ ability to be the new face of the Chicago Bears franchise, as they sent the No. 1 overall pick to Carolina, passing on the opportunity to bring in a rookie quarterback.

Unfortunately for Chicago, the team has struggled once again this season, even with Fields getting more time under center, as the Bears have only won five games coming into Week 16 against the Arizona Cardinals.

With the Bears headed for another disappointing end to an NFL season, it’s decision time once again for Chicago, with the team having the ability to bring in a talented rookie as they did this last year.

The Bears bypassing the opportunity to draft a promising young quarterback two years in a row is a bold move while backing Fields, who might not be the real deal.

However, former NFL player Clay Harbor believes that Fields is the right man for the job under center in Chicago, and it would be a mistake to draft another quarterback, via The Rally.

In 10 games played this season, Fields has won only three games while throwing for only 1,976 yards, 14 touchdowns, and eight interceptions, while also rushing for 488 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Although Fields is undoubtedly a talented quarterback with a versatile skill set, it seems as though he hasn’t shown enough to secure his position as the team’s starting quarterback for the foreseeable future.
