FootJoy has just revamped their popular Traditions golf shoe. The FootJoy Traditions Blucher is, as the name suggests, built like a Blucher shoe rather than the typical saddle-style Traditions.
But what the heck is a Blucher?
In short, it’s a dress shoe built with a single piece of leather for the vamp. It also features an open lacing system (if you need an example of a closed lacing system, look at the FJ Wilcox).
It’s often used interchangeably with “Derby”.
However you spin it, the new FootJoy Traditions Blucher is a clean, stylish addition to FJ’s lineup of golf shoes. Keep in mind that the changes here are purely cosmetic. The same lightweight foam midsole and Fast Twist 3.0 cleat system with Pulsar spikes are still here to ensure top-notch performance.
Think of this new(ish) shoe as a fraternal twin to the classic FJ Traditions. It may look a little different, but it’s still a Traditions golf shoe through and through.
You can snag a pair now in three different colors.
