The NFL Scouting Combine begins this week, and it will give all 32 teams an opportunity to get an up close and personal look at this year’s draft class.

It could turn out to be a very potent draft class, as there are multiple potential franchise quarterbacks, as well as other attractive prospects such as wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

It’s hard to believe Patrick Mahomes, the three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, was only the No. 10 pick in the 2017 draft, but he did run the 40-yard dash in just 4.8 seconds at the combine that year.

He jokingly asked NFL Network to not show the video of him running the 40-yard dash.

Despite not displaying world-class speed at the 2017 combine, Mahomes has grown into the best quarterback and player in the league, and at age 28, he’s likely already one of the three greatest QBs in history.

In 2023, Mahomes’ numbers were down across the board as he adjusted to having a crew of young and unproven wide receivers, but come playoff time, things changed.

In Super Bowl LVIII, he threw for 333 yards and two touchdowns while completing 34 of 46 pass attempts as his Chiefs downed the San Francisco 49ers for the second time in four seasons in the big game.

There’s no telling how many more rings he may earn in the years to come, and the speculation that he could overtake Tom Brady as the greatest QB ever has already begun.
