The San Francisco 49ers’ season is over, so it’s officially cleanup time.
The players will need to go to Levi’s Stadium to do what they hate the most: empty their locker rooms as they get ready for the offseason.
Needless to say, that’s especially tough for George Kittle.
The star tight end has a huge cleat collection that keeps growing by the year, including several custom-made cleats he wears during primetime or special games.
The end of the season was particularly tough for Kittle.
He was a non-factor for his team in the most crucial game of the season.
The Niners had a 10-point lead over the Chiefs and were in control for most of the game, but poor coaching and questionable decisions left the door wide open for Patrick Mahomes and company to storm back.
Kittle is still considered to be one of the best players in the game, and he’s expected to have a prominent role in Kyle Shanahan’s passing game for as long as he’s healthy and for years to come.
Hopefully, his next custom-made cleats will see him walk off the field as a Super Bowl champion, especially after such a tough and heartbreaking end to this campaign.
