Hunt Smarter, Not Harder, with the Volcon Grunt

thequiet

Slipping back into a secluded treestand, or to check trail cameras usually means hiking back in, riding a bicycle, or making a bunch of noise with your ATV. The Volcon Grunt makes this process more fun, less impactful and helps you make the absolute most of your time spent afield. The Grunt is a fat-tired, terrain-conquering, all-electric bike built to take you wherever you need to go with minimal noise.

In a class by itself

Dirt bikes are great ways to get off road and can be very useful for scouting and hunting, but they have two major flaws—they aren’t quiet, and the seat heights on most make them not easily accessible for everyone. The Grunt is in a class by itself, and takes care of those issues and more. It rolls on two, big ATV-style tires which help it grab traction in any terrain, makes the machine more stable for riders of different skill levels and help absorb impacts over rough terrain. The low 32-inch seat height makes the Grunt appealing to any rider as well. You can use it around the farm, during every hunting season, ride the trails in the summer and pit bike enthusiasts will love it too. It’s a lot of fun to ride.

Power on tap

The Grunt has plenty of grunt from the 60-watt electric motor. It runs on a 2.0KWh battery and you can carry a second battery on board to double your ride life. The Grunt can travel up to 75 miles while using the Explorer mode and if you carry the second battery. Want to speed down the trail? The Grunt can hit speeds up to 40MPH. The bike is IP67 rated, meaning it is completely waterproof, so if you need to make a stream crossing, you can go for it and not worry. The Grunt can run completely submerged and keep on going back to your stand.

You can control and connect with your Grunt through a specialized app on your phone. The app lets you name your bike, choose your display settings, keep an eye on the battery charge, see and track speed and RMP state, and more. There is a handy USB port for device charging, too. The Volcon lithium-ion battery charges to 80-percent in just 30 minutes, to get you back out on the trail in no time. It draws off a 1kw output so you can top it off while in camp from your generator, making it the perfect deer camp machine.

Ride quality

Scooting through the woods to set trail cameras and glass open ground for deer is fun but can be challenging if the machine isn’t up to the task. The Grunt starts out with Volcon’s Exo-Arch frame that reduces the impact of the terrain on your body. A rear coil-over shock and front inverted forks absorb impacts from the trail and give you better control as you ride. The Grunt weighs just 330 pounds, and it can easily carry up to 400 pounds so you can load up a pack with trail cameras or carry in a treestand and climbing sticks to set your spot up with quiet ease. Ride back to camp after dark thanks to the LED headlight that illuminates the trail. The old adage of hunt smarter, not harder, has been designed into the Grunt by the engineers at Volcon in Round Rock, Texas. Let the Grunt do that hard part, so you can relax and enjoy the ride.

Volcon proudly has a rapidly expanding dealer network that now has over 100 dealers in North America. Get yourself on a Grunt and get the most out of your time outdoors this season.
