Roadsafe Recovery Points – making rescue less of a risky business

There are several recovery rules that we encourage our customers and fellow off-road enthusiasts to live by when exploring the most rugged and remote settings. Having the right equipment however has to be rule number one!

Rated recovery points are one such essential. As their name suggests, these points have been specifically designed and approved to handle certain loads, meaning you can attach vital recovery gear that gets you out of some pretty sticky situations.

When finding the rated recovery points that work for your vehicle, our range of Roadsafe Recovery Points should certainly be explored. Read on to discover more about the product that has been stringently tested and officially load rated for safe and confident recovery every time.

Who is Roadsafe?

Roadsafe is a leading Australian brand that’s well known for its premium quality, vehicle specific steering and suspension products. Their rigorously tested recovery and tow points have enviable reputations of their own, with their specially designed and developed mounting hardware ensuring a secure fit for a wide range of vehicles as well the highest standards of safety.

We are a proud stockist of Roadsafe Recovery Points, and recommend this product for safer towing and rescue.

What’s great about their recovery points?

The fact that each and every one of the Roadsafe Rated Recovery Points we supply is vehicle specific is integral to their strength, security and reliability. They’re also durable and user friendly to ensure a fully tested and rated recovery solution that you can have complete confidence in. Simply, bolt these recovery points onto your vehicle, with no welding required.

Roadsafe recovery points are coated with a high visibility finish. They’re compatible with factory bumpers too, along with many other aftermarket upgrades, including underbody guards and bumpers. Please note, adaptation may be required in some cases to secure your recovery point around these fixtures.

Can’t I just use my tie-down points for recovery?

The tie-down points already fitted on your vehicle are not suitable for recovery or self-rescue. OE tie-down points (or transport hooks as they are often referred to) are intended to secure your vehicle during shipping and transportation, and were not designed, developed or tested to sustain additional loads, such as the weight of any upgrades you may have added to your vehicle since its manufacture.

Should I opt for one or two recovery points?

There’s a reason why Roadsafe Recovery Points are supplied as a pair. Here Club 4×4 Insurance explains why two recovery points are always better than one:

“If your vehicle is not equipped with purpose-designed recovery points, then it is crucial to invest in an aftermarket set. One point is good; two points (one of each side) are even better, as it effectively halves the load on each point and reduces the chances of bending your chassis. And don’t forget one for the rear!”
