How to Trim Asparagus

- Instead, choose a sturdy, medium, to medium-large sized stalks.
- Gently bend one of the stalks near the bottom until it snaps and breaks off.
- Then, lay it down next to the remaining stalks and cut them to the same length.
- Finally, cut the asparagus into thirds or 2″ long pieces.
