During his playing days, Ben Roethlisberger was one of the best quarterbacks in the league as he led the Pittsburgh Steelers to two Super Bowl championships.

Even after winning multiple titles, Roethlisberger remained an effective starter up until the last couple of years of his career when he struggled to push the ball downfield.

Since he retired, the Steelers have been trying to find a worthy successor to no avail and as a result, the franchise has struggled to compete in the AFC.

Despite a solid stable of wideouts featuring George Pickens and Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh’s offense has been stuck in the mud.

Antonio Brown knows what it’s like to succeed in a Steelers uniform as he was the best receiver in the league at the peak of his powers.

Brown and Roethlisberger were arguably the best quarterback-receiver tandem in the NFL and the former clarified some comments he made about his former teammate via Vlad TV.

“I mean, you is the owner if you’re the quarterback,” Brown said. “You’re the next closest thing to the owner.”

Brown said that Roethlisberger acted as the team’s owner during their playing days and explained that he controlled everything that happened on the field.

Brown probably could have worded his comments better, but it makes more sense after he went into more detail.

Some people assumed Brown was taking a shot at Roethlisberger, but it sounds like he was just making an observation.

Regardless, it looks like both sides can move on as Brown didn’t seem to have any ill-intent behind his comments.
