The 2023 NFL Season didn’t go as planned for the New York Giants.

They were expected to ride their momentum from the 2022 campaign, a year where they unexpectedly made the playoffs, winning a postseason game in the process.

However, the Giants fell short of their expectations due to many factors, including a plethora of injuries to many of their stars.

They finished the season with a 6-11 record, the third-best in the NFC East.

As they reflected on the season that was, the Giants realized that they needed to add a few more critical pieces to this roster to have the best chance of competing.

When free agency opened, they took their shot, making a blockbuster trade for Brian Burns.

Burns has been with the Carolina Panthers for the past five seasons, but when the Giants offered him a five-year, $150 million deal, he couldn’t turn it down.

While the money is nice, it seems Burns is genuinely excited to play for the Giants.

Shortly after this news was made public, he tweeted out a clip from the movie Rush Hour, highlighting a scene in which Jackie Chan wants to go to Madison Square Garden.

Now that he has signed with the Giants, the New York Knicks will likely see this video and help accommodate Burns with his request.

The city of New York can be harsh on it’s stars, as they have high expectations for them.

They can be especially harsh when they perform poorly, but if they play well, they are some of the most supportive fans in the country.
