For several reasons, the Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the NFC’s best teams over the past two years.

Their offensive line is highly regarded, as is their defensive front, making them a difficult matchup for any opponent.

While those two units are commonly considered elite, Jalen Hurts has been a catalyst for this team’s success, a dynamic playmaker who has taken over as the Eagles’ leader.

Hurts has led the Eagles to their 10-2 start to the year, but with his recent injury in mind, everything could change for this team.

The Eagles seem poised to make another deep playoff run this season, but if Hurts keeps playing, he could injure himself even more.

David Carr tweeted about Hurts’ future and what he thinks the Eagles should do.

In his mind, resting Hurts might be in their best interest if they want another shot at a Super Bowl run.

He was also featured in a segment of NFL Total Access, saying that he thinks Marcus Mariota would be a more productive option, at least now.

To Carr, having a fully healthy Mariota is much better than a limited Hurts.

He believes that Mariota can still keep them in games, allowing Hurts to get the necessary treatments and rehab to return to his usual self.

The Eagles have an essential stretch of upcoming games.

They face off against the Dallas Cowboys this week and have the Seattle Seahawks as their opponent the following week.

While these opponents will likely make the playoffs, their final three games of the year are against the New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals.

Those should be relatively easy wins for the Eagles, even if Mariota is starting.

The Eagles have a big QB decision, which could impact their chances at a title.
