The New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers will face off in Week 14’s iteration of Thursday Night Football.

Both teams come into this game with tempered expectations, knowing they have backup quarterbacks under center.

While NFL teams always want to win games, the Patriots are out of the playoffs.

A win in this game would have serious playoff implications for the Steelers, making it an imperative game for this team.

Despite having Mitch Trubisky as their starting quarterback, the Steelers did get some positive news ahead of this game.

Tom Pelissero has reported that Najee Harris is slated to play in this game, a sigh of relief for Steelers fans.

Harris is a fan-favorite in Pittsburgh, an explosive running back when fully healthy.

He has received some criticism lately, mainly due to the emergence of Jaylen Warren in the backfield.

Some say that Warren has been the more dynamic player throughout the season, sometimes causing some doubt about Harris’ abilities.

He will look to silence any doubters in this game, hoping to do enough on the ground to help the Steelers succeed.

If Trubisky has shortcomings in the passing game, the Steelers will look to Harris and Warren to try to get it done on the ground.

The good news for the Steelers is that, even though they are without their starting quarterback, the Patriots are coming off a game where they scored zero points.

If their defense can play as well as advertised, the offense must keep them afloat, and the defense should take care of the rest.
