In the final weeks leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft, the star quarterbacks that are expected to be taken in the first round or at least early in the draft have started to make the rounds with the media while giving glimpses into their thought process.

One quarterback coming out of the college game that could go near the top of the draft or fall to the second round like Will Levis did last year is J.J. McCarthy, out of the University of Michigan.

Despite coming off a national title with the Wolverines while being coached by new Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh, McCarthy isn’t getting as much buzz as his peers like Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels.

Even though McCarthy might be the fourth quarterback taken in the draft in April, people are still interested in what he has to say before making the jump to the NFL level, as he recently answered a question about what three NFL wide receivers he’d love to throw to via, CBS Sports.

“I’ll say Justin Jefferson, Davante Adams,” McCarthy said. “There’s so many great guys, but I’ve said this before, Jaxson Smith-Njigba.”

At this point in time, it is uncertain, to say the least, where McCarthy might land when the dust settles on the upcoming NFL Draft, even after getting an endorsement from Harbaugh.

It’s not out of the realm of possibility that McCarthy ends up with the Minnesota Vikings, Las Vegas Raiders, or Seattle Seahawks, all of which are teams looking for a quarterback this NFL offseason.
