Last year, all the talk surrounding some of the best running backs in the NFL was whether the days of lucrative long-term contracts for players that played the position were officially over, with a number of talented players getting franchise tagged, like Josh Jacobs, Tony Pollard, and Saquon Barkley.

This year, star running backs have been getting snatched up left and right, with a lot of teams around the league needing a boost at the position, as Jacobs, Pollard, Barkley, Aaron Jones, Joe Mixon, D’Andre Swift, and now Derrick Henry have all found new homes in the NFL.

Outside of Jacobs’ four-year deal with the Green Bay Packers, a lot of these running backs settled for short-term deals, including Henry, who will be making $16 million over two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.

With Henry, who was arguably the best back available this offseason, now officially off the table by agreeing to a deal with the Ravens, some have started to chime in on what this means for Baltimore.

Apparently, Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball is a fan of Henry and the Ravens, as he believes signing the veteran running back was a game-changing move for Baltimore.

“WE TO DA SHIPPP,” Ball tweeted about the Henry news.

The addition of Henry to a backfield that already has arguably the most elusive quarterback in NFL history is a scary sight for opposing defenses, as this dynamic duo will be tough to stop in 2024 as long as they can stay healthy.

Along with these two potentially being unstoppable next year as a duo, Baltimore definitely improved their team after being one of the best all-around teams in the league this past season.
