The Green Bay Packers are looking to build off their successful 2023 season.

Not many people knew what to expect from the Packers in the post-Aaron Rodgers era.

Jordan Love was set to take over as the starter, and what we had seen from him was not promising.

Even to begin the season, Love was not great.

The Packers began the year 2-5 and looked like they had no shot at the playoffs.

But, Love caught fire over the second half of the season and led the Packers to the playoffs.

Green Bay even won a playoff game over the Dallas Cowboys before narrowly losing to the San Francisco 49ers.

Now, the Packers enter the 2024 season with a significant change on defense.

They have hired Jeff Hafley as their new defensive coordinator.

He was the Boston College head coach and wanted to make the switch to the NFL.

According to Tom Silverstein, Hafley is bringing a scheme change to the Packers.

They will now have a 4-3 defense but Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said: “It will be easy for us to adjust.”

If the Packers can get better play from their defense, the sky is the limit in 2024.

Love will have another offseason of development and he will be much more comfortable.

Green Bay has a legitimate shot to compete for the NFC North title and maybe even more.
