2023 was another frustrating and disappointing season for the Las Vegas Raiders, who finished the season 8-9 and missed the playoffs for the second year in a row.

They endured the benching of veteran quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and a coaching change at midseason, but now they have a glimmer of hope, as permanent head coach Antonio Pierce seems to have the stamp of approval from his players.

One of those players, star defensive end Maxx Crosby, posted a message of positivity and defiance on Twitter.

“I’ll Never Give Up. My Time Is Coming. Our Time Is Coming,” he tweeted.

Crosby is one of the NFL’s best pass rushers, and he is a force when it comes to sacking opposing quarterbacks.

In 2023, he posted 14.5 sacks, 31 QB hits, and a league-high 23 tackles for loss while earning his third straight Pro Bowl appearance.

The Raiders may be far away from that Super Bowl championship Crosby seems to crave, but they do have some tools to work with.

Their biggest need is at the quarterback position, and they will have a good amount of salary cap space they could use to go after someone such as Russell Wilson or Kirk Cousins, should they be available.

They will also have the No. 13 pick in April’s draft, which they may end up using on a second-tier QB such as J.J. McCarthy from the University of Michigan, who just led the Wolverines to a win in the College Football Playoff National Championship.

Las Vegas will also need to make a decision on running back Josh Jacobs, who had a disappointing 2023 campaign but led the NFL in rushing yards the prior season.
