The Carolina Panthers haven’t looked good at all this season, and a lot of that has had to do with their rookie quarterback.

It’s hard not to make comparisons when you see how much Anthony Richardson was thriving before his injury or what Will Levis has done replacing Ryan Tannehill, and let’s not even get into C.J. Stroud’s season with the Houston Texans.

Bad offensive line aside, the fact of the matter is that Bryce Young hasn’t played well at all for the struggling Panthers.

Nonetheless, former NFL star Michael Irvin believes people shouldn’t count him out or write him off just yet (via Undisputed.)

In the latest edition of “Undisputed,” Irvin reminded everyone that it took Troy Aikman ten weeks to figure things out, and his career turned out to be great.

The same goes for Tua Tagovailoa, as everybody was talking about how the Miami Dolphins should drop him before he became the superstar he is today.

Irvin believes that Young is likely thinking that his locker room in Alabama was better than his current locker room, despite talking about how great of a coach Frank Reich is.

However, the team needs to give Young some help right now.

The Cowboys legend added that Young would be playing much better right now if he had the players they have in Chicago, and urged everybody to be patient with him.

Some QBs take longer to develop than others, and all QBs go through some growing pains, so it would be wise for them to give Young at least another year to prove himself.
