When it comes down to it, the NFL is a business.

Fans tend to get attached to certain players, hoping their favorite team can retain them for as long as possible.

Patrick Queen is one player who has made a monumental impact on the Ravens, both on and off the field.

Queen has been a top-tier linebacker throughout his career, and while he has played well for the Ravens, it was recently revealed that he is moving on.

He ended up signing a three-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, indicating that the Ravens could not pay him what he thought he was worth.

After this signing was made public, Queen posted a goodbye tweet to “Ravens Nation,” letting the fanbase know how much he will miss them.

He also credited several members of the Ravens organization, including the training staff, front office, coaches, and teammates.

Queen will certainly be missed, especially on a roster that reached the AFC Championship last season.

The Ravens will have to go back to the drawing board at LB, hoping to find a player that can provide a similar output as Queen.

It won’t be easy to replace him outright, but if the Ravens want to make another deep playoff run in 2024, they’ll have to make things work.

Thankfully, the Ravens still have one of the best defenses in the NFL, and if their depth pieces can help fill in the gaps, they should be fine.

The AFC is an increasingly difficult conference, and the Ravens will need to dig deep next year to stand out among the other great teams.
