The New York Jets are coming off another disappointing season, with the team seeing all their expectations come crashing down in Week 1 when superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down with an Achilles injury against the division-rival Buffalo Bills.

Although it looked as though Rodgers might actually return early and defy the odds, the Jets couldn’t stay afloat in the playoff picture, making it not worth the four-time NFL MVP returning to the field until next season.

With the Jets having some glaring problems on both sides of the football, the team can address those problems during the NFL offseason in order to set this team up for a potentially promising season with Rodgers back under center in 2024.

One move the Jets brass could try to make is adding more talent to the wide receiver room, and former NFL star Tiki Barber believes New York should go after Minnesota Vikings superstar wideout Justin Jefferson, via WFAN Sports Radio.

“The Jets should go get him,” Barber said. “Absolutely, they should go get him because they need talent. They need someone alongside Garrett Wilson, and they have a short window to do it.”

If the Vikings are serious about potentially trading Jefferson and the Jets have the assets to get a deal done, it would be a smart move for New York to make, immediately making the passing game one of the best in the NFL ahead of next season.

However, the focus for the Jets will likely be upgrading the offensive line and addressing other parts of the offense as well as the defense.
