After the Tennessee Titans decided to bench veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill in favor of rookie Will Levis, it looked like a stroke of genius by head coach Mike Vrabel and company because the University of Kentucky product flourished once he was finally able to get on the field and contribute.

Levis immediately made a substantial impact, throwing for four touchdowns and 238 yards without an interception to lead the team to a win over the Atlanta Falcons, 28-23.

The Titans and their front office seemed vindicated in their decision to draft Levis in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft after every team in the first round passed on bringing him in.

Unfortunately, after two more starts, Levis has thrown more interceptions (2) than touchdowns (0) while failing to lead the team to a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Following the loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday, Vrabel had one piece of advice for his rookie quarterback, via AtoZ Sports Nashville.

Vrabel looked clearly frustrated about Levis’ play in the loss to the Buccaneers, but these kinds of things are to be expected from a rookie quarterback, especially one that had a lot of question marks coming into his first season in the NFL.

Even though Levis has started to struggle, the Titans do seem to have a talented player who might be ready to be the team’s franchise player moving forward, as he needs more snaps and time on the field to perfect his craft while becoming the team’s leader under center.
