As per usual, whenever superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets is near a microphone, he tends to make a lot of headlines, as the veteran quarterback loves speaking his mind even if it makes him out to be the villain.

This week, Rodgers has been talking to the media once again as the Jets’ OTAs got underway, and he had no shortage of quotes that were bound to make waves around the NFL.

Although Rodgers hasn’t been incredibly controversial as of late, outside of considering being Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate in the upcoming election, he does know how to get the fans and the media going with his comments when given a platform to express his feelings about any given topic, football-related or not.

Recently, Rodgers took a look at the Jets’ schedule for the upcoming 2024 NFL season and saw how many primetime games were on the schedule, which is said to make up for the team failing to live up to expectations last year due to Rodgers’ season-ending Achilles injury.

Rodgers recently spoke with Adam Schein of Mad Dogs Sports Radio and asked what the league will do next year if the Jets have six entertaining primetime games this season.

“What happens when we pay them back this year with six great primetime games? What are they gonna say next year?” Rodgers said.

Needless to say, the NFL hopes the Jets will play an entertaining brand of football this year with Rodgers healthy and back under center for New York, and they may very well get their wish.

Along with Rodgers returning, the Jets have made some upgrades on both sides of the football, which should make them a significantly improved team compared to last season.
