The Buffalo Bills have made a couple of recent roster moves.

After the big move to sign former Olympic gold medalist and Minnesota Golden Gopher Gable Steveson, the team had to release a key player.

According to the team’s official site, they cut ties with veteran punter Matt Haack, who was on his second stint with the team last season.

After going undrafted out of Arizona State in 2017, Haack would sign with the Miami Dolphins and play for them until 2020.

After that season, he would make his first appearance on the Bills in 2021.

In 2022, he would punt for the Indianapolis Colts.

Then, he would bounce around between three more teams in 2023.

He’d go from the Arizona Cardinals to the Cleveland Browns to his second stint with the Bills.

The former All-Pac-12 performer will look to continue his NFL career somewhere else after he was unable to stay on Sean McDermott’s roster.

In his seven-year NFL career, Haack has punted for over 19,000 yards.

He has 160 career punts inside the 20 out of his 432 total punts.

The veteran punter might not be an All-Pro punter that is going to steal headlines.

He’s not Ray Guy and or Shane Lechler.

He isn’t even another Pat McAfee.

But, Haack will certainly be able to latch on to another team because of his ability to stay consistent while punting.

In terms of average yards per punt, Haack has a modest average of 44.5 yards per punt.

Look for him to, at minimum, sign with another team’s practice squad very soon.
