Chargers Interview Another Top Candidate For HC Job

The Los Angeles Chargers chose to fire head coach Brandon Staley after the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders dropped a historic 63 points on them earlier in the season, which was a move many saw coming, as he had lost the locker room and couldn’t seem to get this team back on the right track.

With Staley gone, the Chargers had one of the most attractive job openings in the NFL, with the team having a recently extended superstar quarterback in Justin Herbert under center and a talented roster on both sides of the football.

It’s safe to say that the Chargers are a team that is ready to win now, which is why some of the biggest names in coaching have been linked to the team over the past few weeks.

With the search for Staley’s successor well underway in Los Angeles, the team has been conducting a lot of interviews as of late, with the latest being with Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Quinn has been a hot commodity in the league for quite some time and has resurrected his career during his time with the Cowboys, helping America’s Team have one of the best defenses in the NFL.

Although Quinn has been dubbed the favorite to land the head coaching job with the Seattle Seahawks after Pete Carroll surprisingly left his post, he’s still doing his due diligence in taking other interview opportunities like this one with the Chargers.
