A couple of months ago, it looked like perhaps Jordan Love, the Green Bay Packers’ new starting quarterback and the successor to the departed Aaron Rodgers, wasn’t capable of being a franchise quarterback.

But he finished the season on a heater, which gave them a Wild Card playoff spot.

In their postseason game on Sunday against the 12-5 Dallas Cowboys, the Packers dominated, taking a 27-0 lead and winning by 16 as Love completely outplayed Pro Bowler Dak Prescott.

It led Greg Olsen to say on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” that Love is “a flat-out stud.”

Olsen also gave plenty of credit to Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur for an outstanding coaching job, especially given the young, developing roster he had to work with.

Against Dallas, Love completed 16 of 21 passes for 272 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions while avoiding even a single sack.

The pressure was on Love when the season started after Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets, as the organization had been grooming him for three years to be Rodgers’ heir apparent.

The situation is starting to remind people of when Rodgers, who had also spent his first three seasons as a backup, took over the QB1 spot in 2008 after Hall of Famer Brett Favre was also traded to the Jets.

It’s probably too early for cheeseheads to make plans to see their team at the Super Bowl, but their team may have once again found their franchise signal-caller right after parting ways with their previous one.
