This weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs will travel to upstate New York to take on the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional round, and it could end up being an instant classic.

This matchup will feature a fantastic quarterback matchup as Patrick Mahomes will square off against Josh Allen, and it will be a rematch of the sensational overtime game between these two teams in the 2021 Divisional round that was won by Kansas City.

On FS1’s “First Things First,” Nick Wright said this will be by far the “biggest game” of Allen’s career.

Wright said one of the reasons this game will be so big for Allen is the fact that the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs simply aren’t what they used to be.

Their offense isn’t as explosive as it was in the past, as they don’t have the type of reliable threat at wide receiver they enjoyed in past years.

The last time these two teams met in the postseason, speedster Tyreek Hill was the man for Kansas City, but he’s long gone, and so is JuJu Smith-Schuster, who had 933 receiving yards in 2022 to help them win it all.

The Bills are the hottest team in football right now with a six-game winning streak, which includes their 31-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday in the Wild Card round.

Allen completed 21 of 30 pass attempts and threw for three touchdowns in that game, and he will look to continue his team’s revival against a team that knocked them out of the playoffs in both the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
