Legendary quarterback Tom Brady may have left the New England Patriots on less-than-stellar terms, but a little bit of time has seemed to heal those wounds.

He is set to be inducted into the team’s own Hall of Fame in just over a month, and it will be a landmark celebration in Boston/New England sports history.

In fact, per Mike Reiss, tickets for the ceremony sold out just hours after they were made available.

Brady, who left the Patriots following the 2019 season and retired from football after the 2022 campaign, is generally regarded as the greatest player in NFL history.

He brought the franchise six Super Bowl championships and enriched the region’s rich sports tradition that includes greats such as Larry Bird, Bill Russell, and Ted Williams.

He also could be considered something of a Cinderella story, as he was a sixth-round draft pick in 2000 and wasn’t exactly a highly regarded player out of the University of Michigan.

But midway through the 2001 season, Drew Bledsoe, who was then New England’s QB1, got hurt, and the rest was history.

Rebuilding in the NFL is very hard to do, and it is something the Patriots are discovering, as they went 4-13 last season.

They thought perhaps Mac Jones, a first-round pick in 2021, would be their next franchise signal-caller, but his play has significantly declined after he made the Pro Bowl as a rookie.

There is now a trickle of hope for the Patriots after they drafted QB Drake Maye at No. 3 last week, but they still have tons of work to do to even approach the heights they regularly scaled during Brady’s time with them.
