The sports world is still talking about the recent roast of legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady, who retired last offseason after 23 incredible seasons.
He is widely considered the greatest quarterback in league history, and he is set to become a commentator for FOX Sports’ coverage of the league this coming season.
Some are wondering why he did that roast and opened himself up to such harsh zingers in the first place, and he said that not only would he not do another roast, but that perhaps he regrets doing it in the first place, per Yahoo Sports.
Brady has said that he doesn’t mind it when people make fun of him, but that he doesn’t like the way it affected his three children.
However, he did say the experience will make him a better parent.
Brady decided to call it quits after a 2022 season in which he played poorly (by his standards) and flashed the type of frustration on the sidelines that seemed very uncharacteristic of him.
But his accomplishments speak for themselves: seven Super Bowl championships, three regular-season MVPs, five Super Bowl MVPs, and 15 Pro Bowl selections.
Recently, he made some noise when he suggested that he was open to returning to the field some time during this coming season, which led to speculation about which team he may suit up for.
Last year, Brady purchased a minority stake in the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces from Mark Davis, who is the controlling owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, which led some to believe that perhaps the Raiders were the team he could play for if he indeed returned.
