If you want to make the most of your leftover pulled pork, you can’t go wrong with these incredible pulled pork nachos! They are warmed in a cast-iron skillet on the grill, adding a smoky twist that perfectly complements the BBQ pork. This dish is sure to be a crowd-pleaser!
Pulled Pork Nachos Ingredients
- 1 12-inch cast-iron skillet or aluminum baking sheet
- Tortilla Chips
- Pulled Pork
- Barbecue Beans (sub with black beans, pinto, or kidney beans)
- Barbecue Sauce
- Shredded cheddar cheese (sub with Monterey, Colby, or Pepper Jack)
- Red Onion (sub with white or yellow onions)
- Corn (optional) If you have leftover corn from your BBQ, by all means us it in this recipe! You can also use canned or thawed frozen corn
- Jalapeno pepper (fresh or pickled, sub with with sliced serrano peppers for spicier nachos)
- Cilantro (sub with parsley)
How to Make Pulled Pork Nachos:
- Preheat your grill or smoker for 375 degrees F or medium-high heat.
- If you’re using a pellet grill or smoker, we recommend using a mild wood like apple or cherry.
- Add a good layer of tortilla chips followed by BBQ beans and pulled pork
- Next, top with corn, cheese, onions, and jalapenos.
- Place the skillet on the grill and cook for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the pork is warmed all the way through .
- Remove from heat and top with warmed BBQ sauce and garnish with chopped cilantro.
Serving and Recipe Tips
- Serve these nachos as an appetizer for 4 people or casual dinner for 2 people.
- Top with sour cream, guacamole, and fire roasted salsa for extra flavor.
- For large gatherings, double or triple the recipe as needed and assemble the nachos in a large disposable aluminum pan.
