We’re just days away from the 2024 NFL Draft, which has the potential to yield the best rookie class the league has seen in decades.
There are several enticing quarterback prospects, but this draft is also loaded with multiple wide receivers who have the potential to make multiple Pro Bowls in the years to come.
Former NFL player and current NFL Network analyst Bucky Brooks ranked his top-five wide receivers in this year’s draft.
Brooks agrees with many that Marvin Harrison Jr. from Ohio State is the best WR prospect in this year’s draft, and most expect him to be one of the first five players selected.
He scored 14 receiving touchdowns and went over 1,200 receiving yards in both of the last two seasons, and he combines good size (6-foot-3) and agility with the ability to make contested catches.
Rome Odunze not only has good size, but he also has tremendous speed and can add yards after the catch.
Malik Nabers from LSU is a bit undersized at six-feet tall, but he ran the 40-yard dash in under 4.4 seconds and can stretch the field vertically.
Brian Thomas Jr. and Keon Coleman aren’t as well known, but Thomas led the nation with 17 receiving touchdowns in 2023, and he’s not only 6-foot-3 but also super-fast.
Coleman is relatively slow for a wideout, but he can make tough catches.
Among the teams with high picks in the upcoming draft, the Arizona Cardinals (No. 4), Los Angeles Chargers (No. 5), and New York Giants (No. 6) all badly need game-changing wide receivers, and all three could end up with one.
