The Buffalo Bills saw a huge resurgence at the end of the regular season en route to a fourth consecutive AFC East title, all of which came after the team fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and named Joe Brady as the interim,
The Bills won six consecutive games, including a big wild card win over the Pittsburgh Steelers a week ago.
But with all that success comes the draw of other jobs for the Bills’ top coordinators, including one who only recently got promoted.
Brady interviewed for the Atlanta Falcons head coaching job, the team announced Saturday, ahead of Buffalo’s divisional round match with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Brady has some tough competition for the role, though, as former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh also interviewed recently to take over.
At 34 years old, Brady would be one of the youngest head coaches ever and would make one of the biggest jumps from quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator to head coach in just one year.
The only other head coach in the NFL to go from quarterbacks coach to head coach that quickly was Zac Taylor with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Brady was an offensive coordinator in the past, though, for the Carolina Panthers from 2020 to 2021.
All signs point to the Falcons hiring Belichick, but it appears as though the team wants to speak with as many candidates as possible before making a final decision on their head coach.
