After starting the season with a record of 10-1, the Philadelphia Eagles have headed into a downward spiral, with seemingly nothing going right for the defending NFC champions on either side of the football.

Even though the Eagles are playoff-bound, the team seemed to do everything within its power to ruin any chance of having success in the postseason, as Philadelphia has been one of the worst teams in the league over the last two months.

On Sunday, Philadelphia headed on the road to take on the division-rival New York Giants at MetLife Stadium, with high hopes of getting a much-needed win to give this team some momentum heading into the playoffs.

With the Giants well out of playoff contention and struggling in their own right, this game was considered a tune-up game for the Eagles before facing some stiff competition in the NFC during the postseason.

Unfortunately, it was more of the same from the Eagles on Sunday, with the team struggling to make an impact on both sides of the football, as they lost to the Giants, 27-10.

As a result of the loss, Eagles fans haven’t been all that happy with defensive coordinator Matt Patricia, who gave up 27 points to the Giants and sparked this reaction from Jason La Canfora of The Washington Post.

With the Eagles falling apart in the second half of this season, the team could make some more changes to the coaching staff in the offseason if there’s an epic playoff collapse, which seems likely at this point.

Only time will tell what will happen with the Eagles, but as of right now, it seems as though disaster is on the horizon.
