The Cleveland Browns seemed to have struck gold when they signed free agent Joe Flacco after quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending shoulder injury.
Absolutely no one in the league could have seen what was coming after Flacco became the Browns starter.
In his four starts, he has led the Browns to a 3-1 record and has the offense looking as explosive as it’s ever been.
His three straight games with more than 300+ yards passing have made him the talk around the NFL.
With Flacco’s recent success, it has led to many Jets fans demanding answers for why Flacco wasn’t even considered to be brought back to the team after spending last season in New York.
With the Jets set to face the Browns on Thursday night football, Robert Saleh was recently asked what he thought about Flacco’s success with the Browns this season via Paul Andrew Esden Jr.
“I’ve said it before, Joes like a Ford pickup truck, you might not like it in the summer but in the winter months that son of a gun starts humming,” Saleh said.
The 10-5 Browns are in second place in the AFC North and will look to secure a playoff spot on Thursday night.
The Browns have the No. 1 ranked passing defense in the league and No. 1 in overall yards allowed.
With the state of the Jets’ offense, this could be a long night for them.
