The 2023 NFL season hasn’t been quite the year the Kansas City Chiefs were hoping for as the offense has looked like a shell of itself.

The Chiefs haven’t been able to score the football very well this year due to the lack of reliable receiving options.

Patrick Mahomes has been visibly frustrated with the offense multiple times this season as they’ve cost the team a couple of games now.

Rashee Rice has been a bright spot, while Travis Kelce remains Mahomes’ go-to option in the passing game.

These days, though, it feels like Kelce’s romance with country pop star Taylor Swift has been generating more headlines than Kansas City’s play.

Ahead of a marquee matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, Swift showed up wearing a Chiefs jacket that had fans talking via Aaron Ladd of KSHB 41 News.

It feels like most of the responses come from Swift’s massive fanbase, though the Chiefs shouldn’t be complaining about some extra fanfare at this point of the year.

Some fans have felt like Swift’s presence has been a distraction for Kelce and the team, though that could just be some frustration talking amidst a more difficult season than anticipated.

It’s hard to feel confident in the Chiefs repeating as Super Bowl champions given their offensive woes, but anything can happen come playoff time.

Swift being at games may draw attention away from the field, but Kansas City can’t let an outside person affect their play.

While it must be fun for Swift fans to see her at football games, the Chiefs faithful will just be hoping for wins.
