Why this recipe works

  • This ooey-gooey dessert pizza is the perfect addition to any cookout or party and is loved by kids and adults alike. With its combination of melted chocolate, gooey marshmallows, and pillowy crust, this dessert will be a hit.
  • One of the best things about making a s’mores pizza is how easy it is to put together. You won’t need to purchase a long list of ingredients, and it’s perfect for when you’re short on time but want a satisfying dessert.

This recipe makes enough for 6-8 servings. Double the recipe to make enough grilled s’more pizza for 12 people. Please note that you will need a pizza stone for this recipe.

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough: 12-14 ounces, fresh, not frozen
  • Graham crackers: 3 whole crackers crushed
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Chopped chocolate, 2 ounces (sub with chocolate chips)
  • Unsalted butter melted
  • Brown sugar
  • cinnamon
  • Flour: for rolling
  • Pizza stone

How to Make S’mores Pizza

  • Preheat your outdoor grill to 400 degrees F
  • Roll out your pizza dough on a floured work surface. Aim for a 12″ pizza crust, or make a thinner crust if preferred. Keep in mind that this crust will need less time to bake.
  • Build the toppings: Start by brushing the dough with melted butter. Next, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon then sprinkle it over the buttered side. Next, add the crushed graham crackers, mini marshmallows, and chopped chocolate.

Grilling a S’mores Pizza

  • Carefully transfer your uncooked s’mores pizza to the hot pizza stone.
  • Place the stone on the grill, close the lid of the grill, and cook for 8-10 minutes. Keep a close eye on it. This pizza can go from perfect to burnt in a matter of minutes. The crust should be golden brown, the marshmallows toasted, and the chocolate soft.
  • Remove the pizza from the stone, and place it onto a clean cutting board. Let your s’mores pizza stand for 5-10 minutes. It will be hot! So, give it a chance to cool off a bit.

Serving it

  • This pizza is quite rich, so we recommend cutting it into smaller slices. I find that 8 slices works the best. Serve alone or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • Store leftover s’mores pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat individual slices for 20-30 seconds in the microwave before serving.

S’more Pizza – Oven Method

Is it too icy cold to grill a s’mores pizza, don’t worry! Enjoy it year round. Simply, bake it on a baking sheet in the oven at 350 degrees F. for 10-12 minutes. Set it under the broiler for 1-2 minutes to toast up the marshmallows. Keep a close eye on it during broiling. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. Slice and serve.

Recipe Variations

Drizzle warmed chocolate hazelnut spread or creamy peanut butter on top of pizza before serving.
