Amon-Ra St. Brown Has Honest Admission About Facing Rams In Playoffs

NFL fans got what they wanted this last postseason.

In fact, Jared Goff got what he wanted this last postseason.

The Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams met in what was Detroit’s first home playoff game since 1993.

Much was made more about Matthew Stafford’s return to Detroit rather than Goff’s matchup against the team that traded him away.

The Lions would go on to win, 24-23, en route to an eventual NFC Championship Game appearance.

Lions All-Pro receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown chatted with ESPN analyst and former Pro Bowl quarterback Robert Griffin III about the importance of the game to his quarterback in Goff.

Here is what he had to say about Goff downplaying the game:

“Naw screw that. It is about the team, but it’s about you too. They traded you. They thought Stafford was better, so they made that whole trade. Sent you to Detroit without much,” St. Brown stated.

If Goff was at all nervous or fired up about playing his old team, he didn’t show it.

He finished 22 of 27 for 277 passing yards and a touchdown.

Ever since the trade from the Rams to the Lions back in 2021, Goff has turned himself into a true franchise quarterback.

He has helped the Lions turn in back-to-back winning seasons (23 wins in total over 2022 and 2023), and the former first-round pick guided them to their first conference championship game since 1992.

Head coach Dan Campbell has his team ready to roll for the foreseeable future and with Goff under center, they are a true force to be reckoned with in the NFC.
