With the Arizona Cardinals having another disappointing season this year, there’s been a lot of speculation as to what the team might do once the 2024 NFL Draft rolls around in April.

The Cardinals will have a high draft pick as a result of the team’s poor performance this season, which means the team will have an opportunity to draft one of the talented young quarterbacks in this upcoming draft class, headlined by Caleb Williams out of USC.

Even though the team has committed to star quarterback Kyler Murray, the temptation to bring in another franchise quarterback might be too good to pass up on, especially after the success of C.J. Stroud this season with the Houston Texans after he went No. 2 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Despite the Cardinals’ draft position heading into April’s draft, it appears the team is content with Murray moving forward, with the head coach Jonathan Gannon making an appearance on The Burns & Gambo Show and making it clear who their quarterback will be next season.

“Not there is not,” Gannon replied when asked if there was any doubt about who his QB would be next season.

Murray has only played seven games so far this season, and three of those games led to wins as he was working his way back from having offseason surgery on his knee.

In those seven games, Murray has thrown for 1,537 yards, nine touchdowns, and five interceptions while rushing for 211 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

Those aren’t terrible numbers for the situation that Murray has been put in, which shows why Gannon seems to still have faith in the former No. 1 overall pick.
