Heading into the AFC Championship Game at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs were the underdogs against the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens, as the consensus was that Lamar Jackson and company were the better all-around team.

Unfortunately for the Ravens, the Chiefs came to play on Sunday, with Patrick Mahomes firing on all cylinders offensively while the team also stepped up defensively to contain the favorite to win the NFL MVP award.

Even though Baltimore was able to keep it close for the most part, it seemed inevitable that the Chiefs would advance because they were much more locked in and looked as confident as ever with Mahomes poised under center and Andy Reid leading the way on the sideline.

Ultimately, Kansas City prevailed on the road to advance to the Super Bowl for a second straight season, which sparked a reaction by current Miami Dolphins superstar and former Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill via Twitter.

“15 and Andy know how to win games,” Hill said.

Before the start of last season, Hill and the Chiefs brass couldn’t see eye-to-eye on a contract extension, which led to Kansas City trading arguably the league’s best wide receiver to the Dolphins.

Even though the move was heavily criticized, the Chiefs still went on to defy the odds and win it all last season, and now they’ve gotten to the Super Bowl yet again with a chance to go back-to-back.

Hill almost certainly wishes he had more Vince Lombardi trophies, but he has flourished in Miami while making a strong case to be the best player at his position.

Clearly, he still has nothing but respect for his old quarterback and head coach.
